Auto-repeat
This option has been introduced because different programs and handhelds treat hard buttons' press-and-hold action in different ways.
- Uncheck the Auto-repeat checkbox for applications like Address/Contacts to be able to beam a Business Card by pressing and holding the button.
- Check the Auto-repeat checkbox for applications like Memo Pad on Kyocera handhelds to be able to start Voice Memo Recording by pressing and holding the button.
- Check the Auto-repeat checkbox on Treo smartphones for the Fourth button to restore its original functionality.
To use the press-and-hold option, you must hold the hard button for more than one second.
The press-and-hold option uses the button's default application (selected in the "Buttons" section of Palm's "Preferences").
