Step-by-step instructions to disable any hard button completely:
  1. Launch HBX to see its setup screen.
  2. Tap the little "..." button for the button of your choice.
  3. Check the "Force if no actions", "Direct action", and "Enhanced Keyguard" checkboxes and tap "Done".
  4. Select "none" from the "Action" drop-down list.
